This page is maintained by the operator of Your Wedding COO to explain what data the app collects, how it's used, and the third-party services involved. It is not legal advice. If you have questions, email hello@yourweddingcoo.com.
1. What we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the planning workspace:
- Account info. If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. You can also use the app anonymously — in that case we create a temporary, random user ID with no personal information attached.
- Wedding intake data. Anything you enter in the modules (guest count, budget tier, wedding date, venue preferences, florals, photo/video, attire, timeline, etc.). This is stored on your account so you can come back to it.
- Checklist and budget data. Tasks, due dates, completion status, vendor contract amounts and payment schedules you enter.
- Subscription info. If you upgrade to Pro, we store your subscription status, plan, and trial/renewal dates. Payment card details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
- Basic technical logs. Standard request logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) used to keep the service running and diagnose errors.
2. How we use it
- To generate your budget breakdown, timeline, and vendor briefs.
- To save your plan so you can return to it across sessions.
- To send in-app reminders for upcoming checklist items (only if you leave reminders enabled).
- To process subscription payments and manage your Pro access.
- To fix bugs and improve the product.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your wedding details for advertising.
3. Third parties we use
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, and authentication for the app.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Stripe receives your name, email, and payment details when you upgrade.
- Google — only if you choose "Sign in with Google."
- Lovable AI Gateway — generates your plan from your intake data. Intake fields are sent to the AI model to produce the budget, timeline, and briefs; they are not used to train the model.
4. Data retention and deletion
Your data stays in your account until you ask us to delete it. Email hello@yourweddingcoo.com from your account email to request deletion, and we'll remove your intake data, checklist, and account within 30 days. Subscription and billing records may be retained longer where required by law or by our payment processor.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK/California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at the email above and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and browser storage strictly to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences (like dismissing the intro card). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our hosting provider using industry-standard access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information protected.
8. Children
Your Wedding COO is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
